2006 - 2007 Season
Antigone
Based on the play by SOPHOCLES
Adapted for the stage by GREG BANKS
Directed by GREG BANKS
OCTOBER 24 – NOVEMBER 19, 2006
Cargill Stage Most enjoyed by ages 13+
It takes guts to stand up to the most powerful man in the country. Especially when you're 15. Antigone dares to defy her uncle, the king. When her brother is killed in battle, King Creon pronounces him a traitor and denies him a proper burial. Antigone acts. King Creon reacts. It's honor and compassion versus control and pride.
In this production, there are no seats. No stage. Actors and musicians perform around you, next to you, in this high-octane, passionate performance. You're so close, you can feel the intensity. And - the strength of one 15-year-old voice.
