Plays for Young Audiences is a partnership venture between The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis and Seattle Children's Theatre, the two leading theatres for young people in the nation.

In 2004, The Children's Theatre Company and Seattle Children's Theatre created Plays for Young Audiences to provide a centralized clearinghouse of scripts written for young audiences to professional theatres, amateur/community theaters, and schools. Both The Children's Theatre Company and Seattle Children's Theatre are well-known for commissioning productions that are topical, contemporary, fantastical, and written by today's leading playwrights. The growing list of Plays for Young Audiences customers come from all fifty United States and the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Through its service to the larger children's theatre community, Plays for Young Audiences is a catalyst to drive the field of theatre for young people to new heights.
