ctc4teens
In Fall 2005, CTC opened a new building expansion that included the construction of the Cargill Theatre designed primarily for productions for teen audiences, as well as an education center where theatre arts classes are taught. With the introduction of teen programming, CTC decided to establish a teen council to help build participation among their peers in the Theatre's teen programming including stage productions, education, and community events. This council now goes by the name teen seen council.

OurSpace teen lab (new!)
OurSpace is an intensive laboratory experience for teen directors (ages 13-18) that will culminate in a Festival of public performances of the directors' work. This is an opportunity for teens with a serious interest in directing to mount a production of their choosing under the professional auspices of CTC while gaining extraordinary experience working directly with, and being mentored by, CTC's professional staff.
Columbinus a play by United States Theatre Project
In April of 1999, the shootings at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado captured the attention of the world. In exploring the events surrounding this tragedy, columbinus examines the hope, humor and struggles of the American teenager, as well as the dark yet familiar recesses of the two minds that perpetrated the taking of 15 lives. This play weaves together survivor accounts from students, statements from police and community leaders, interviews with the perpetrators, and recorded documents; ultimately creating an extraordinary and jarring account of what happened one ordinary day in Colorado, a day that became a wake-up call for us all.
*strong language and violent situations-recommended for ages 13+
