Community Engagement

young CTC student CTC's goal is to create models that arts organizations, schools and educators can use to bring theatre into their communities to deepen teaching and learning, and develop critical thinking. CTC forms partnerships with leading educators, artists and authors to develop new ways of connecting young people to their communities through the arts. CTC is also committed to publicizing our work in order to make our models accessible to other colleagues in the field.

Programs & Events

Homeschool Classes
Join us for a new series of classes designed specifically to fit the educational needs and schedules of homeschooling families. Our classes help students develop their imaginations, voices, and bodies by teaching theatre skills that will empower them as artists and as people.

Neighborhood Bridges
Created by acclaimed champion of fairy tales and literature Jack Zipes, Neighborhood Bridges is CTC's year-long program that develops critical literacy and writing skills through storytelling, writing and drama activities.

School Partnership Program
This intensive, three-year program works with public schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul to integrating theatre arts with existing curricula through a combination of deeply discounted tickets, bus transportation, and teacher workshops.
