Skill Focus – Classes will work toward building/encouraging poise, motivation and confidence in a group and will look to explore patterns of characterization through improvisation and memorization. Additional focus: Setting goals for self and acquiring greater sensitivity to and respect for others: as well as teamwork, self-confidence, and active listening (acting basics, create a character, musical theatre improv, drama and dance, drama and voice) .

Fundamentals of Acting:
Using improvisation and short scenes, students will learn to make strong character choices and to work with objectives and relationships in the creation of original scenes in this fun and creative acting class.

Using improvisation and short scenes, students will learn to make strong character choices and to work with objectives and relationships in the creation of original scenes in this fun and creative acting class.
Saturdays 4/17 – 5/22 11am-12noon  •  $80

Onstage:
This class is about having fun as students explore their imagination while inventing new worlds and creating characters through an investigation of sets, costumes, props and lights. Through theatre games and acting exercises, we will focus on freeing the creative spirit of each child while building a dynamic ensemble of actors.
Mondays 4/12 – 5/17 4:30pm-6pm  •  $120

Mad Wacky Improv:
Exercise your funny bone! Students will work together to create characters, stories and plays - on the spot! Theatre games and acting exercises will focus on freeing the creative spirit of each child, while building a dynamic ensemble of actors.
Wednesdays 4/14 – 5/19 4pm-5pm  •  $80

Broadway Dance 2:
Students will explore the next step of fundamentals of jazz and tap techniques in the world of musical theatre. Class will focus on such skills as isolation, rhythm, flexibility and stage presence while working with age appropriate material. Prerequisite: Dance fundamentals course experience or equivalent.
Saturdays 4/17 – 5/22 11am-12:30pm  •  $120

Playwriting:
Experience an authentic playwriting process, from grabbing inspiration, themes and characters from personal experiences all the way to creating a final draft and public reading. By breaking playwriting down into its most essential parts, students will be able to learn and synthesize with the same tools grown-up playwrights use. This class will also include plenty of movement, acting and on-your-feet activities to help generate ideas, but is ideal for kids who love to write and or make up their own stories.
