AM: It’s Not Rocket Science!:
What happens when science and theatre meet? Explore the inner workings of scientific principles like gravity, E=mc2, why the sky is blue and to other questions where your curiosity leads. Students will then create their own stories of how these things came to be discovered.
June 14-18 9am-12pm  •  $195

PM: Forbidden Broadway:
A send-up of musicals you know and love! Students choose characters and scenes from shows and put together a revue!
June 14-18 1pm – 4pm  •  $195

AM: Summer Song Revue:
In this class students take popular summer songs like Surfin USA, Summer Nights, Little Deuce Coup, and In the Summertime, use the lyrics from the songs to make up scenes, then string thtem all together into a theatrical masterpiece! Summer music = Summer FUN!

PM: Trouble in the Tropics:
Shipwrecked on a deserted island- how did we get here? What do we do now? Uncover the mysteries and troubles in the tropics and live to tell the tale!

Full Day (9-4pm for one week): Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing:
Sibling mischief and best friend escapades are just some of the problems that arise as Peter attempts to deal with his impossible brother. Using this popular Judy Blume work, students will create their own 4th grade world with troublesome siblings and secret adventures.

Full Day (9-4pm for 2 weeks): The Wizard’s Way: (Full)
Using J. K. Rowlings’ characters as inspiration, we’ll create our own story in the world of witchcraft and wizardry. Stretch your creativity as you brainstorm initial ideas, improvise scenes, develop an ensemblecreated script ,and showcase the new play in a final performance.
July 12-July 23 9am – 4pm  •  $425

AM: Seriously Tall Tales:
Explore the legendary world of American tall tales and create a few of your own in this seriously fun and silly class.
July 19-23 9am-12pm  •  $195

PM: Sideways Stories from Wayside School:
Travel upwards through Wayside School, the school that is thirty-stories high and create the thirty tales, one for every story at Wayside School. You see, the school was supposed to be built one story and thirty classrooms long. However, it was accidentally built with thirty-stories, with one room on each story… The builder said he was very sorry. Help tell their many tales.
July 19-23 1pm – 4pm  •  $195

(Full Day Junior Intensive:July 19-Aug 6 (GRADES 5-8))
This intensive is specifically designed for students at the middle school level who have a demonstrated commitment to their craft as performers and display a positive attitude in their work. Students work with like-minded peers and industry professionals in the creation of a musical to be performed on our Cargill Stage.
•Acceptance to this program is by audition only.

Full Day (9-4pm for 2 weeks): Peter Pan:
One night, Pan convinces Wendy to join him and the Lost Boys in Neverland where pirates, Indians, malicious mermaids, a monster-size crocodile and a whole bunch of adventures await. Be a part of this musical adventure.

AM: Gulliver’s Travels:
Gulliver seeks adventure...and when he finds it, it is stranger and more exotic than he could ever have imagined. Gulliver’s incredible travels bring him to undiscovered worlds filled with miniature people, floating islands and next-generation technologies. He makes even greater discoveries about himself and his own culture. Work together to create the strange and distant lands of your imagination!
July 26-30 9am-12pm  •  $195

PM: Story Theatre:
Drawn from the classics of world literature (Rumi, Dickens, Rilke as well as traditional stories from the Brothers Grimm and others), story theatre brings to life favorite stories through techniques of improvisation.
July 26-30 1pm – 4pm  •  $195

Full Day: Culture Camp:(August 2-6)
Monday–Friday, Aug 2-6, 9 am–3 pm. For students ages 7–11. Spend a day at each of five visual and cultural arts organizations: Children’s Theatre Company, Walker Art Center, Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and Zenon Dance Company. Work with artists at each site to create hands-on projects, performances, and more! Friends and family are invited to a presentation at each location each day at 2:30. Participants must provide their own transportation to each institution and bring a bag lunch each day.

How to Eat like a Child:
And Other Lessons in Not Being a Grown-up Full Day (9-4pm for 2 weeks) A delightful revisiting of the joys -- and tricky ploys -- of childhood. Set as a live \"Childhood Instructional Guide\" How to Eat Like a Child offers advice from a child’s point of view. “How to Laugh Hysterically,” “How to Have a Birthday Party,” \"How to Beg for a Dog\" these are a few of the lessons given in this hilarious, fast-paced musical.
August 9- 20 9am – 4pm  •  $425

AM: Scavenger Hunt Around the World:
The world’s greatest scavenger hunt is set to take place this summer. Combining imagination, acting, and music, students will create an original show that makes a journey around the world. Where will they stop? What do they need to find? What is the prize? You provide the answers and help create this magical show.
August 9-13 9am-12pm  •  $195

PM: The School-House Detectives:
What would happen if you went to school one morning and there were NO TEACHERS? When this happens to a group of kids from Anytown, USA, they put on their detective hats and set off to find out what happened. Combining imagination, acting and music, youth in this class will work together to create their own original play.
August 9-13 1pm – 4pm  •  $195
