MEDIA ALERT & PHOTO OPPORTUNITY - Stage Craft + Costumed Characters + Dance Classes + Storytelling + Peace Banners = CTC’s Annual Open House

WHO:
The Children’s Theatre Company, the nation’s largest theater for young people and families.
WHAT:
It only happens once a year, and oh my gosh, it’s almost here! Once again, CTC is throwing open its doors to share the magic of theater at its free annual Open House. Held on the Thursday of Education Minnesota week, a day when most Twin Cities schools are not in session, CTC’s Open House attracted a record-breaking 3,500 people last year.
CTC’s wildly popular "Costume Corral" will once again see hundreds of children photographed in costumes and hats from past performances. Visitors will see the shops working on Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas; and gather fun facts about the theater. This year, the children can also help create special peace banners that will be sent to our sister theater, The New Victory in New York City. Keeepsake programs have been designed to map out the self-guided tour of the facility and collect autographs from favorite costumed characters. Special box lunches will be available for purchase at D’Amico & Sons. Free parking is available in the ramp or adjacent lot.
