A Year with Frog and Toad Hops to Broadway - CTC's world premiere production slated for Cort Theater in New York City

WHAT:
Last August, by special arrangement with Adrianne Lobel and Bob Boyett, CTC opened its 2002-2003 Season with the world premiere of A Year with Frog and Toad. The show, which received rave reviews and had enthusiastic audiences, ran in Minneapolis from August 20 - November 2. The production then transferred immediately to the New Victory Theater in New York City where it also delighted audiences and critics. It was announced today that Adrianne Lobel and Bob Boyett will present the CTC production at the Cort Theater on Broadway this Spring. Mark Linn-Baker and Jay Goede will reprise their roles as Frog and Toad respectively, and be joined by original company members Frank Vlastnik and Danielle Ferland.
"We are thrilled that this joyful musical will have a life on Broadway," said CTC artistic director Peter Brosius. "It continues to be a terrific experience working with Adrianne and Bob and we are so excited that the extraordinary work of CTC will be seen by an international audience."
A Year with Frog and Toad has music by Robert Reale, book and lyrics by Willie Reale, and is based on the Newbery and Caldecott Honor books about Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel. The production is directed by David Petrarca, with choreography by Danny Pelzig, set design by Adrianne Lobel, costume design by 2002 Tony® Award-winner Martin Pakledinaz, lighting design by James F. Ingalls, orchestration by Irwin Fisch, and sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen.
