News Releases
'Fighter-quarreleritis is a common childhood disease. It's very contagious, but easy to cure.' -Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, The Magic Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle
For Immediate Release: March 4, 2004

The Children's Theatre Company (CTC), the nation's leading theater for young people and families, and recipient of the 2003 Tony® Award for Best Regional Theater.
WHAT:
Closing CTC's 39th season is The Magic Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, with book, music and lyrics by Chad Henry and adapted from the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books by Betty MacDonald. This regional premiere is directed by Peter C. Brosius with choreography by Joe Chvala, set design by Joe Stanley, costume design by Mary Anna Culligan, lighting design by Becky Fuller, sound design by Chris Heagle, music direction and orchestrations by Victor Zupanc and stage managed by Jared T. Carey.
Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is one of a kind and one of children's literature's greatest characters. She lives in an upside down house (except for the staircase and bedroom) and has a lump – not a hump – on her back that is good for attaching wings and storing magic. This delightful musical chronicles the tales of this inventive and imaginative character and the children who are the recipients of her creativity and wisdom. If there is a way to transform humdrum tasks into adventures, she'll find it. Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is an inspiration to both children and parents.
