WHO:
The Children's Theatre Company (CTC), the nation's leading theater for young people and families, recipient of the 2004 National Governors Association Award for Distinguished Service to State Government in the field of Artistic Production, and recipient of the 2003 Tony® Award for Best Regional Theater.
WHAT:
The 2004/2005 season will open with the regional premiere of the musical Go, Dog. Go! by Allison Gregory and Steven Dietz, based on P. D. Eastman's book with music by Michael Koerner. With direction by Kent Stephens, the production has scenic design by Joseph D. Dodd, costume design by Susan Mickey, lighting design by Beverly Emmons, choreography by Danny Buraczeski and stage management by Chris Schweiger.
One of America's most beloved books will burst onto the CTC stage with MC Dog narrating this musical and comedic journey of canines, big and small. The cadence and language of the book will carry onto the stage in a hip, clown-like canine cosmos. The production is a mad mix of circus, dance and visual treats.
WHEN:
Go, Dog. Go! previews August 17,18,19, opens August 20, 2004 and runs through October 30, 2004. The production will run in repertory with Hansel and Gretel.
