Haircuts, Scrub Brush Shoes, Cookies

The Children's Theatre Company Presents If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. The Mouse is in the House, February 26 - April 6, 2008

For Immediate Release: January 18, 2008

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven and a brand new comic book – what could possibly ruin the moment? Only a very hungry, VERY chatty mouse.

This spring, the Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is pleased to welcome The Boy and Mouse to the Mainstage for the production of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. The two-man play features CTC company members Reed Sigmund and Dean Holt.

Children will get a kick out of watching The Boy as he tries to placate Mouse. Their day includes a tricky haircut, cleaning up a mess (scrub brushes make excellent shoes!), the adventures of JUNGLEMAN, BEAST-MASTER OF THE AMAZON and, of course, cookies.

Most enjoyed by children ages 4+, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie runs from Tuesday, February 26 through Sunday, April 6. Tickets start at $18 and can be purchased through the CTC Ticket Office at (612) 874-0400 or visit If You Give a Mouse a Cookie's online ticketing page at www.childrenstheatre.org/ticketoffice and click on Single Tickets or School and Group Sales.

The Children's Theatre Company
Founded in 1965, The Children's Theatre Company(CTC) exists to create extraordinary theatre experiences that educate, challenge and inspire young people. In 2003, CTC was honored with the Tony® Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, the first ever awarded to a theatre for young people. In 2004, recognition continued when CTC received the National Governors Association Award for Distinguished Service to the State in Arts Production; it was the first theater to receive the Medallion Award from the Children's Theatre Foundation of America; and it was named America's number one theater for young people and families by TIME magazine. In October 2005, CTC celebrated its 40th anniversary by opening expanded facilities, including their second stage, The Cargill Stage, designed by leading American architect Michael Graves. Having produced 26 world premieres for young audiences in the past decade, CTC has served nearly 6 million young people and families during its forty years of existence. It has set standards of excellence in the quality of its productions, commitment to new work, rigorous Theatre Arts Training programs, and innovative education and community partnerships.
