General Information
All Adult and Youth auditions for Children’s Theatre Company shows are listed here and on MinnesotaPlaylist.com. CTC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We advocate for diversity throughout the organization and strongly encourage applications from members of traditionally underrepresented groups.
Adult Auditions
Auditions for adult Equity and non-Equity actors are held periodically throughout the year. Preparation is needed and based on the specific needs of each production. Adult actor positions are paid.
Youth Auditions
Auditions for youths (student actors) between the ages of 10 and 18 are held at various times during the year depending on the needs of each production. Typically, we hold auditions anywhere from 6-9 months in advance of the production’s first rehearsal. Our auditions for student actors are usually group-style format. Each audition notice will detail the specifics of who we are looking for, what the actor will do (e.g. sing, dance, monologues, etc.) and how to schedule an audition.
TAT Auditions
Some Theatre Arts Training classes and camps require an audition before enrolling.

AEA General Auditions
Children’s Theatre Company is seeking AEA Actors for its upcoming 2026-2027 Season. These are general auditions and not show specific. Auditions will be held at CTC on March 22 and March 23. These auditions are specifically for members of AEA or those in the EMC program (EMC is being phased out of AEA. Per their website: As of May 8, 2026, EMCs will no longer be recognized for prioritized audition access and will be seen on the same basis as other non-Equity actors).
Non-Equity actors may fill open audition spots starting March 18th, or attend these auditions without a sign-up and be seen as space is available. There is no guarantee that non-equity actors will be seen at these auditions without a sign-up. CTC will also see non-Equity performers for show-specific auditions throughout the season.
No student actors (performers under the age of 18 or still in high school) will be seen at these auditions.
Preparation:
Please prepare 32 bars of a song and 2 contrasting monologues of your choosing. An Accompanist will be provided. Please select challenging, well-written material. There is no need to select work written exclusively for young audiences.
